Lexus GS 460 & 450h Facelift – Official Press Release & Image Gallery
Lexus is enhancing the GS for the 2008 M.Y. line-up by applying minor aesthetic revisions and replacing the GS 430 with the GS 460 which boasts a 342 Hp 4.6-liter V8 combined with an eight-speed automatic transmission that takes it from 0 to 60 mph 5.4 seconds. All 2008 GS models are distinguished by a revised fascia with a new front bumper and lower intake design and a new chrome grille surround up front, plus side-view-mirror turn signals and new alloys. In the interior apart from the updated trim the instrument panel has been revised.
Furthermore the GS 450h carries on a few more visual differences from other GS models including the… rice-racer styled blue hybrid designation on the side rocker moldings and aluminum-and-blue enameled rear model designation, blue front and rear "L" logos and a blue tint to the headlamps and tail lamps. That’s almost -not quite, but almost- as bad as the gold chrome option… Good news is that Lexus has added a VDIM cutoff switch to allow the driver to disengage the stability system when appropriate. - Press Release and Image gallery after the jump
