Rather than go through a full-size redesign, Peugeot preferred a light update for its 407 Sedan and Station Wagon models. Changes on the outside include the reworked grille upfront that's been enhanced with more doses of chrome along with the new headlamps and tail-lamps. Inside, Peugeot has enhanced the 407 with extra comfort equipment and in particular onboard temperature control and new telematics systems along with a new front parking assistance.

The only mechanical changes concern the updated 2.0-litre HDi engine which now 138Hp (103Kw), an increase of 4Hp or 3 kW. It also benefits from a fuel consumption of 5.6 litres/100km (42MPG) and CO2 emissions reduced to 150 g/km. Sales are expected to start in Europe over the next few weeks.
