Special Edition Life Ball MINI Convertible Makes a Splash in Vienna

In the eyes of designers Rican Phillipe and David Blond, this is what a MINI Convertible inspired by Kate Perry, the singer of the song "I Kissed a Girl", looks like. Well, the only way we can explain the pink and black leopard exterior theme, the fake black fur upholstery and the embroidered tassels attached to the seats and the wing mirrors, is that the fashion duo must have taken a pretty close look Perry's lingerie drawer... The one-off MINI made its debut at the Life Ball gala, an annual European AIDS fundraiser that took place earlier this week in Vienna, Austria.

The Kate Perry edition MINI Convertible will be raffled off to raise money to fight HIV/AIDS. According to MINI, tickets will be on sale until the end of August with the official draw taking place on 1 September 2009. If you're interested, the tickets cost €10 (about $13 USD) each and are available at all Life Ball events, from all BMW and MINI partners in Austria, directly from Life Ball, through the Austrian lottery distributors Prokopp and over the internet at www.mini.at and www.lifeball.org.
