Mitsubishi Pajero - Montero - Shogun: World Premier at the Paris Show



Despite the fact that most people won't notice any significant differences, the car previewed in the photos is the 4th incarnation of Mitsubishi's Pajero and its making it's world debute in Paris. For those of you who are familiar with the car but not the name its known as the Mitsubishi Montero in North America and Spanish-speaking countries, and as Mitsubishi Shogun in the United Kingdom. In case your wondering why three different names, the name Montero (meaning "mountain warrior") was used because Pajero is slang for wanker in Spanish

According to Mitsubishi, new features that distinguish its 4th generation Pajero, Montero or Shogun large 4x4 include:

A powertrain applied a new 3.2-liter 4-cylinder diesel with common rail direct fuel injection or a 3.8-liter V6 MIVEC gasoline unit.
A 4WD system comprised of the Super Select 4WD-II transfer case while both ASTC and the rear differential lock available -developed on the bedrock of MMC's All-Wheel-Control (AWC) concept and delivering significant improvements in both off-road and tarmac performance.
Tastefully designed dashboard and interior complemented by high-end equipment such as Rockford Acoustic Design Premium Sound System with a new 860W 12-speaker
