Detroit Show: Lincoln MKT Concept With 340HP Twin-Turbo V6

Here’s yet another vehicle from the Detroit Show that, like the 2009 Toyota Venza, it doesn’t know which category it wants to belongs to. Frankly, Lincoln’s MKT reminds us of an American interpretation of the Renault Vel Satis luxury sedan, and that, isn’t something we’d brag about… But anyway, Lincoln supports that the MKT Concept shows how the brand’s new design language works on a spacious luxury utility vehicle as it does on luxury sedans like the new 2009 MKS.

Underneath the MKT study features the Ford’s new 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged V6 Ecoboost engine that delivers an estimated 340-horsepower and more than 340 lb.-ft. of torque on regular gas. If the driver uses an E85 ethanol-gas blend, then the V6 engine delivers 415 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque
