Tokyo 2010: Mach Girl's ATV-Based Mini Lamborghini Murcielago

If your first though upon seeing this comic-esque baby Lamborghini Murcileago Gallardo was that it was somehow related to the famous Japanese cartoon series "Speed Racer", then you're pretty much right and you should give yourself a pat on the back. See, the quad-bike-based Lamborghini replica was crafted in honor of "Mach Girl", a TV series spin-off based on the original Speed Racer anime that was released in Japan a couple of years ago. Interested? Lamborghini Reventon No3 Looking for its Third Owner

If you ever had any doubts that, rare exotic supercars like the Lamborghini Murcielago Reventon spend most -if not all- of their life parked in showrooms or private garages, then take a look at this example that has been listed for sale on eBay with a 'Buy it Now Price' of US$1,495 million.

This Reventon is said to be car number 3 of the 20 that Sant' Agata churned out, and just one of ten that came to the U.S.

The 650HP Italian rocket that's capable of speeds in excess of 340km/h or 211mph has clocked a mere 78 miles on the odo since it arrived in the States in 2008 and only 5 miles since it changed hands for the second time in September of last year!

True, the Reventon is a one-of-a-kind supercar / collectible and its owners should be extremely cautious when it comes to using the vehicle, but being a car guy and all, I can't help but think that's it's a real shame that most of these cars will never be driven as they were meant...

Edo Competition's Spicier Lamborghini Gallardo LP600-4

Supercar tuner, Edo Competition, has revealed its latest project, the Lamborghini LP600-4 with minor cosmetic and mechanical tweaks over the standard model. The 5.2-liter V10 engine's output has been cranked up from 560 to 600 horsepower, thanks to an ECU tune and a new high-flow stainless-steel exhaust system, which not only adds 15HP but also weighs 12kg or 26 pounds less than the original piece.

The tuner says that 0 to 100km/h (62mph) acceleration takes 3.5 seconds, with top speed climbing to 340km/h or 211mph.

The Gallardo LP600-4 also benefits from a newly developed sport suspension system, which is adjustable in compression and rebound damping, and new 19-inch three-piece racing wheels shod in Dunlop Sport Maxx rubber size 235/35 ZR 19 up front and 305/30 ZR 19 at the back.

The tuner's package is rounded off by a new front spoiler lip while customers may also individualize the Lamborghini Gallardo's interior with various options and custom leathers and trims.

Lamborghini Toro LA690-4 Design Concept for a Lexus LFA Style Supercar

The Lamborghini Toro LA690-4 is a conceptual study penned by independent designer Amadou Ndiaye. Envisioned as a modern interpretation of the 1960's Lamborghini Espada, the Toro LA690-4 is a front-engined Raging Bull supercar created to compete against other exotics of the same sort like the Aston Martin One 77 and the Lexus LFA.

The designer states that the car's LA 690-4 designation stands for "Longitudinale anteriore" which translates to "Front Longitudinal" in English, while "690" refers to the V12 engine's fictional output and '4' to the car's all-wheel drive system.

Aside from the front-mid mounted V12 engine coupled to a 7 speed double clutch transmission, Ndiaye says that the chassis, body panels and other parts of the car should be made from carbon fiber and magnesium to save weight.

To our eye, while the execution looks professional, the design itself is less aspiring and unique as the first thought that came to mind is a Lamborghini-ized LFA speckled with repackaged styling cues from the Italian firm's current production and concept models.

Lamborghini Furia Concept: Design Study for Gallardo Replacement

Canadian designer Amadou Ndiaye is at it again with his Lamborghini conceptual proposals. This time, Amadou has envisioned a successor to the Lamborghini Gallardo that he has named the Furia. While retaining the core design characteristics of modern day Lamborghinis, the Furia adds some curves and a more unique engine bay styling to the mix. More photos after the jump.

Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 Italian Police Car Crashes Into Parked Vehicles

Only a year after joining the ranks of the Italian State Police, and the world famous Lamborghini LP560-4 Polizia has been totaled in a weird crash that occurred near Cremona this past weekend. Italy's Corriere Della Sera newspaper reported that the police officer in the 560-horsepower 'Raging Bull' supercar was allegedly cruising on the road when a vehicle pulled out all of a sudden from of a petrol station.

In order to avoid a head-on collision, the police officer swerved and crashed into a couple of parked cars. As you can see in the photo shots in the video below, the Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 ended up, or rather under a Mercedes-Benz A-Class...

The newspaper said that the police officers in the driver and passenger seat of the Lamborghini were slightly injured.

Munich University Students Dream Up Future Lamborghini Models

In cooperation with the Munich University of Applied Sciences, Lamborghini sponsored the 'Raw Material' project tasking students from the German institution to create a series of design concepts for a future 'Raging Bull' supercar. The five students that answered to the call displayed their conceptual proposals at the Munich University's annual college degree show.

The mid-engined Ankonian is a proposal for a more compact sized Lamborghini supercar employing both 'soft' and angular surfaces in the design. Needless to say, it could also form the basis for a future Batmobile.

Real or Fake? Gran Turismo Ad Shows 1969 Corvette Stingray and 1988 Lamborghini Countach Scraping Sides

After watching this Japanese Gran Turismo PSP commercial of a '69 Corvette Stingray and a '88 Lamborghini Countach clashing sides on the race track more than a dozen times, we still can't tell if it's a real-life or a computer simulated scene. But then again, that's exactly what makes this commercial so successful in our opinion; for one, you'll want to watch it again and again but most importantly, it gets the message across that the video game blurs the lines of reality and fantasy. Lamborghini Supercars Take the Spotlight at 2010 Pirelli Calendar Presentation

First of all, the man pictured above - songwriter, singer and twice Brit Award winner James Blunt, is not featured in the new 2010 Pirelli Calendar - sigh of relief... He's just one of the many celebrities that were chauffeured in Lamborghinis to Old Billingsgate, a 19th century building on the banks of the Thames in London, for the world premiere / presentation of the 37th edition of the famed Pirelli Calendar.

All in all, three Lamborghini supercars - a Murcielago LP 670-4 SV, a Gallardo LP 560-4 Spyder and the latest limited edition, rear-wheel drive Gallardo LP 550-2 Valentino Balboni, were used at the event.

For the occasion, the Raging Bull supercars sported hidden LED lights positioned under the wheel arches to illuminate the Pirelli tires in homage to the Milan-based tire company.

Unfortunately, Pirelli has not yet issued any photos for press use from its new calendar, but we can tell you that the 37th edition features a total of eleven models including, Catherine McNeil, Abbey Lee Kershaw and Miranda Kerr of Australia, Eniko Mihalik from Hungary, Marloes Horst of the Netherlands, Lily Cole, Daisy Lowe, and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley from the UK, Georgina Stojilijkovic of Serbia and two Brazilian natives, Gracie Carvalho and Ana Beatriz Barros.
