Unveiled at the Detroit Auto Show, the Passat CC (pics and details here) is Volkswagen’s first four-door coupe that follows in the same footsteps as the Mercedes-Benz CLS –though it will cost considerably less when it enters the European market in the second quarter of 2008, followed by the USA, Canada and Japan in the fourth quarter. Based on the Passat (well duh…), the CC can be equipped with three gasoline units; 160 HP 1.8 TSI, 200 HP 2.0 TSI and 300 HP 3.6 FSI ( 280 HP in the US), and two diesel engines; 140 & 170 HP 2.0 TDi.
