The third member of the new Peugeot 207 SW range has been launched in the UK increasing the mini station-wagon’s line-up to three models: the S, Sport and Outdoor. Based on the 207 SW Sport, the Outdoor brings a visual ‘off-road’ look to the range through the increased ground clearance (raised by 16 mm at the front and 21 mm at the rear), fitment of new 16” alloy wheels with special 205/55R tyres and large grey wheel arch extensions / sill mouldings. It has an overall length of 4156 mm, 119 mm longer than the 207 hatch and an increased height of 1555 mm, 28 mm more than the 207 SW Sport.
The 207 SW Outdoor will be available with three engine options, two HDi diesels, 1.6 litre 90 bhp and 1.6 litre 110 bhp with a diesel particle filter system (DPFS) and one petrol engine, a 1.6 litre VTi 120 bhp engine. All the engines will be fitted with a manual five speed gearbox. The Outdoor range starts from £13,650 ($27,900 or € 18,980).
Standard equipment on all models includes: power steering, driver / passenger and side airbags, curtain airbags, remote control central locking with deadlocks, three rear three-point inertia reel seat belts, “one touch” electric front / rear windows, two thirds / one third split folding rear seat, steering column adjustable for reach and rake, radio / single CD player, passenger seat height adjustment, driver seat height adjustment, body-coloured door mirrors, ABS with EBFD and EBA, trip computer, electrically operated / heated door mirrors, manual air conditioning, front fog lights, aluminium roof rails, Cielo glass panoramic roof with electric sunblind, opening rear tailgate glass, 16” Outdoor alloy wheels, Sports front seats, leather steering wheel/gear knob, Narbonnais grey wheel arch extensions / sill mouldings, washable floor mats and dark tinted rear side glass / tailgate glass.
