Mazda To Offer CX-7 Crossover With 2.2-litre Turbo Diesel In Europe

Good news for Mazda dealers across Europe as the Japanese firm will enhance the European CX-7 line-up with the addition of a diesel version. More specifically, Mazda will offer its CX-7 Crossover form mid-2008 with the Ford / PSA Peuegot-Citroen jointly developed, 2.2-litre turbo diesel engine that delivers 155 Hp. In Europe, the CX-7 has been launched initially with the Mazda6 MPS derived, 260 Hp turbocharged 2.3-litre petrol engine combined with a six-speed manual transmission. Due to the fact that most MPV’s and SUV’s are opted with diesel powtrains in Europe, it is expected the Mazda will probably more than double its initial CX-7 volume in 2008.
