Saab 9-3X Crossover Scooped Without a Trace of Camo
A new round of spy-shots depicting the forthcoming Saab 9-3X Crossover have made their way into the web thanks to the Saab-loving folks over at TrollhattanSaab. Allegedly captured during a photoshoot, the camouflage-free 9-3X is virtually production ready. And why shouldn't it be as the new Saab model is essentially a "soft-road" version of the 9-3 SportCombi with standard XWD four-wheel-drive system plus raised ground clearance, extra under-body protection, wraparound body cladding, larger bumpers and other SUV-like styling details.
The new 9-3X was supposed to be revealed at the Paris Auto Show this past October, something that evidently never happened. Sources now indicate that the mild crossover will make its debut in early 2009 with sales following shortly after.
